Microlocs are a smaller form of the traditional locs. They are started off with a small braid and continued with a braid or twist. Maintained with interlocking, over time it will transform into a small loc. They are known for their stylish look and the versatility the small locs have to offer.

Microlocs are formed in the same way as dreadlocks are considered to form just in a micro-size manner.

The twist or braid (foundation) will begin to frizz and mat together because of the texture hair being left uncombed. Because they are done in twists/braids, the foundation allows it to not be free-formed. Additionally, it is interlocked every 4-8 weeks which doesn't allow the locs to stick together and combine but instead flourish. These techniques are used so the foundation can form a mature loc. Everyone's journey will be different because every strand of your hair is unique. So never compare yourself to another.

Microlocs with extensions are extremely similar to the standard Microlocs that are installed with natural hair. They are done with The Braid Goat seamless method using 100% Afro Kinky Human Hair added and is started off with a small braid and is either continued with a braid or a twist. It locs and grows as your natural hair and is maintained the exact same way Microlocs or Sisterlocks would with the interlocking technique. This specific style helps adds length and volume to the Microlocs style allowing women to feel more secure when growing their locs and giving them to extra love they desire.

Microlocs Stages include but are not limited to:

1. Stater/Baby stage: Initial installation. Parts are established and a twists or braids foundation is set. (Initial Install- month 2)

2. Budding Stage: Hair began to bud and swell more, you will see frizz by this stage. (2-9 months)

3. Maturing Stage: Hair began to drop from the swelling, giving you length and allowing loc size to show. Frizzing has decreased. (9 months-1.5 years)

2. Loc'd Stage: This is when you are completely loc'd, the pattern of the braids and twist is completely gone.

(Twist Average Loc Time 1-2.5 years, Braids Average Loc Time 2-5 years)

Remember that texture, length, porosity, environment, and routine all play a part in your loc journey.

What services do you offer?

I offer a range of styles. I am specialized in knotless braids and stitch braids. I offer Fulani braids, box braids, boho braids, braided bobs, starter locs, natural hairstyles and more. Microlocs comes in Standard Micro, Extra Micro (+$300), Tiny (+600), and Mini (Bigger than Standard)
How many inches are needed for Microlocs Extension?

You MUST have 4 inches of hair to get an install with extensions.
What happens when I'm over a month late for a retie?

The pricing for being over a month late for a retie is quoted by every month you're late you pay for a full retie. So if you're 3 months late you will pay 3 months worth of reties.

How do your Microlocs extensions technique compared to other?

TBG Microlocs Extensions is done in a seamless technique that I offer. This technique is done to ensure the density of the extensions added matches the density of your hair. It will grow your locs as your hair would and is used to prevent traction alopecia. Everyones head is unique, so I do everything in my power to make sure your head have the healthiest install.

I do service kids with some exceptions.
What are Microlocs Extensions & how are they installed?

Similar to Microlocs, Microlocs extensions are small dreadlocks that is started off with 100% Afro Kinky human hair extensions and comes in 2 styles. Microlocs Twist and Microlocs Braids. Both are started off with a small plait and the twist is continued with a full twist and the braids is continued with a full braid and a small twist to seal the ends and give it a curl. They are both interlocked at the root and maintained with interlocking. An extended braid down is offered for this service to avoided slippage with certain hair types.
How long does it take for an Install?

An install can take anywhere from 10 hours - 24 hours (split into 2 days). This is usually determined by style of microlocs, parts size, length, head size, and fullness of hair. Natural hair is usually finished in one day while extensions can be a 2 day process. You will get a specific time frame during consultation.
Are you accepting new clients for microlocs? *Please READ*

I am accepting new clients for installs only. I am completely booked for maintenance and install and im not accepting new client but if you would like me to do your foundation then I am accepting clients for that. Book a consultation or call 706-206-5764 to understand how that works.

What payments are accepted?

Cash payment is the prefered method. Credit/Debit card & Afterpay is an option but a payment contract has to be signed along with license upload. Name on card must match license. This payment has an 8% Georgia tax added. (Remaining balance x .08 = tax) No ZELLE. CASHAPP. VENMO. PAYPAL
Do you provide payment plan?

A payment plan is NOT offered at this time. I do however offer after-pay as payment option.
How do I book an appointment?

To book an appointment for an install you must first book your consultation. You can only book an install AFTER I have given you the go.
Are you accepting transfer clients for reties?

At the moment, I am NOT accepting transfer clients. If I did not do your installation please do NOT book a maintenance.
Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, I am accepting new clients.
When do I need to come in for retie?

Reties are every 4-6 week with some exceptions. Any exceptions on earlier or later dates will have to be given to you during your 4 week check in or ay time after that retie.
What are Microlocs & how are they installed?

Microlocs are small dreadlocks that can be install with wither twists, braids, or coiled. Im specialized in the twist and braided microlocs. The twist is started off with w small plait and then is twist the whole way down. The braids are stated off with a full braid and then a small twist is placed at the end. They are both maintained with interlocking at the root. This is meant to be a permanent style but all locks can be undone with specific tools and patience. I do not take Microlocs out.
What's the difference in Microlocs & Sisterlock?

Microlocs and Sisterlocks differ in size, cost, and technique used to install. Sisterlocks is trademarked and uses a specific grid and technique (interlocking) to set the foundation of the locks. Sisterlocks as a whole is more intricate than Microlocs. You must be certified by a specific person to practice Sisterlocks. The cost varied and because of the specific technique used for Sisterlocks it usually takes longer to install than microlocs. Microlocs on the other hand doesn't follow a specific grid, is installed with twist, braids, or coils, and can have extensions added. The cost varies. Microlocs are looked at as a middle man of Sisterlocks and Traditional Locs.
What is a consultation, is it required, how do I book?

To book a consultation you will click "consultation" under the Microlocs tab. You will then book a virtual Consultation. An in-person consultation can be booked after the virtual consultation please lmk during the virtual consultation. In the consultation we will discuss microlocs, the process, the aftercare, and what I would recommend for your hair. IT IS REQUIRED before booking install.
What is the aftercare on microlocs?

Microlocs is low maintenance. Aftercare can differ based on each head of microlocs. You will be given an aftercare package when you leave.
How do Microlocs age?

Over time the foundation of twists/braids will mat together, swell, and mature into a small loc. Even with the extensions, you will never notice it is not your real hair. It will loc with your natural hair and flourish as if grew out the scalp. This is why a seamless method is used. You can eventually cut the extension out but its not required. All the different microlocs will age beautifully into small locs. The curly ends that are seen on natural hair can be kept as well when aging by just combing out the end of the loc one it reaches maturity.
How are they maintained?

Microlocs are maintained with interlocking every 4-6 weeks.
Can I get Microlocs with relaxed hair?

Depending on the condition of your hair you can get microlocs with straighter textures. It may just require you to have to get extensions.
